Discussion of Global Forex Trading

The World of Global FOREX Trading

The FOREX trading market is always open. It is the only truly world wide market. Global FOREX trading is always up and running because some place in the world it is time for business. It may sound a bit overwhelming to think that currencies across the world are always in a state of change. It is also exciting to know that global FOREX trading never sleeps.

If you break down global FOREX trading into the major currencies it doesn't seem quite so large. There are only five or six currencies traded in the FOREX market. These G7 currencies are considered the most liquid, meaning they can be exchanged for the most and fastest profit because of the strength of the countries and banks backing them. They include the US Dollar, Canadian Dollar,

Australian Dollar, British Pound, Swiss Franc, Japanese Yen and the Euro. In the world-wide trading of currencies you must also look at the big players behind this money. It is the worlds major banks and financial institutions that were at one time (in the not so distant past) the only ones who could really use the changing values in currency to realize a profit.

This group of currencies essentially makes up global FOREX trading. Someone just entering the world of FOREX can therefore grasp the nuances of these currencies relatively quickly, since you are not really dealing in every world currency.

Another way to look at global FOREX trading is that there is no centralized office or trading floor located in a specific city, open only during specific hours. Global FOREX trading takes place across telephone and Internet lines. It happens in real time and very quickly. The only brick and mortar type of establishments behind global FOREX trading are those major world banks. Although no trading takes place within the banks in the same sense as the New York Stock Exchange, their influence still affects trading for individual investors.
